PROGRAM ASSISTANT PT
POSITION: Non Union
Program Assistant - One (1) Part Time
Non Invasive Cardiology - Brampton Civic Hospital
POSTING NUMBER: 121750
HOURS: 8 hour days Mondays to Fridays
(Subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
" College program in office administration
" Undergraduate degree (asset)
" 3-5 years recent related experience in a health care environment with a proven track record in supporting a team with multiple priorities
" Minimum of 3 years recent related experience in a senior secretarial position in a cardiovascular clinic environment
" Knowledge of Cardiology and other Medical terminology
" Proficient in Meditech Patient Registration, MSM medSchedule and Network MedTel
" Supervisory experience would be a definite asset
" Advanced proficiency in computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Access
" Typing skills of 60 wpm
" Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
" Flexibility to meet the needs of a fast-paced department
" Ability to work independently and interdependently
" Excellent attendance & punctuality history
" Commitment to quality and customer service
" Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing and comprehension)
" Ability to speak Punjabi/Hindi/Urdu an asset
" Create distribute and update Physician call schedules
" Compose correspondence and manage databases using office software, publishing software and digital graphics.
" Schedule complex multi-party meetings and conference calls including audio-visual equipment, booking rooms/venues and catering services as required
" Coordinate specialized training/education seminars for staff as required
" Requisition supplies and services as needed
" Functions as liaison with other hospitals and treatment centre's, i.e., booking appointments as requested
" Work with Medical Staff Office to organize and coordinate paperwork and meetings for physician recruitment
" Maintain LMS annual renewal
" Skilled in interpretation and collection of data and statistics
" Promote strong public relations and departmental teamwork by being cooperative and flexible with other staff, physicians and the public
" Knowledge and ability to clearly explain cardiac diagnostics procedures to patients/families
" Perform cross-functional duties as assigned or requested
" Flexibility in work hours
