POSITION: Business Development Consultant

The Business Development & Planning department is responsible for the development of Business Partnerships, managing partners and local revenue streams, identifying and reporting on ministry project cash flow requirements, Long-Range Planning, developing complex Business Cases including partnering with Redevelopment, and major Capital Project Financials. Reporting to the Director, Business Development and Planning, the Business Development Analyst will play a significant role in identifying and evaluating potential business partnerships, developing complex business cases and managing local revenue streams.
Reporting to the Director, Business Development and Planning, the incumbent has a track record of providing value added analysis and has played a role in supporting a strong decision making process, which has also enabled them to foster relationships with other hospital team members. Confident and effective interpersonal and communication skills will allow them to identify and deliver relevant information incorporating financial, statistical and clinical data effectively thereby providing focus and direction to the entire team.
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES/ONGOING ACCOUNTABILITIES
" Identify and evaluate key linkages, arrangements and alliances with potential partners that WOHS will need to optimize the health and community service benefits and maximize financial returns to the organization across all campuses
" Work directly with other members of the Business Development and broader finance, team to develop the financial and statistical information as required to generate reports which will support business development decisions
" Meaningful, timely, accurate and value added analysis of all hospital revenue streams and associated activities that provides strategic direction and focuses the team's decision making process
" Act as a business owner for cross-organizational local revenue streams (e.g. preferred accommodation, patient TVs, retail leasing, off-site joint ventures etc.).
" Coordinate and/or manage drafting, negotiation or review of various business contracts as required
" Timely and accurate preparation of ad hoc financial reports to broader stakeholders to guide informed decision making
" An undergraduate degree in Business or Commerce
" 5 years relevant work experience in healthcare or similar industry
" Experience in business development and partner management highly preferred
" Experience with developing business cases and financial modeling
" Outstanding analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
" Superb oral, interpersonal and written communication skills
" Highly motivated, customer focused team player
" Flexibility to manage and deal with change
" Proven ability to manage multiple and competing projects effectively
" Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
" Will be required to work and travel between all hospital campuses
